The Role:

We are looking for a PR leader to help us amplify the Magic Eden message, bringing fresh eyes to NFT’s and our marketplace. You play an essential role in crafting the message of our mission and sharing that to the world. You’ll be tasked with generating global coverage and building relationships within the organization as well as reporters, industry peers. You will also be the main point of contact to our PR agency.

A day in the life of our Communications Leader:

• Lead, develop, and execute an external PR strategy to amplify Magic Eden’s message. This includes all stages of the campaign: strategy, implementation, and evaluation.
• Build and manage PR strategies for brand, product launches, and investor-related announcements and events with the intent to build brand equity.
• Storymine with executives to create thoughtful pitches, narratives and build proactive brand strategies.
• Strengthen existing relationships and cultivate new relationships with print, online, broadcast reporters, producers, bloggers and influencers globally.
• Routinely catch up with journalists to tease angles, share trends, and provide analysis of the NFT ecosystem.
• Respond to media inquiries, educate reporters, correct misperceptions about our industry/field/products and work with the team on issues and crisis communications.
• Organize press briefings, media sessions and events, and create press materials including media pitches, FAQs and fact sheets in coordination with the team.
• Manage day-to-day relationship with the Company’s PR agency to ensure alignment of strategy and messaging, along with effective use of resources and budget.

About you:

• A champion's mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit
• 7+ years of public relations experience - with a curiosity for the NFT/Crypto space.
• You have excellent writing capabilities (e.g. press materials, releases, event/creative briefs, press coverage reporting).
• You have strong relationships with national business and trade media outlets.
